Charcot Foot Treatment
Charcot disease or diabetic foot (neuropathic arthropathy) is a troubling complication of diabetes. It can present in combination with a pathological fracture and severe foot deformity. This patient (images below) initially presented for amputation. However, with fusion surgery, utilising specialised internal and external components, the joint was able to be saved.
